Unified MMA 46 Results – MMA Sucka

Unified MMA returns to its home base the River Cree Resort & Casino in Edmonton Alberta Canada for Unified 46. This is the biggest & best card in the history of the promotion.

The Main Event will see Christian Larsen (7-2) defend his Unified MMA Heavyweight Championship against PFL vet & former CFFC Heavyweight Champion Jamelle Jones (12-8). Larsen is coming off his shortest title defense back at Unified 45 this past May where he dispatched Grayson Wells in just 37 seconds. Larsen is a big bulking Heavyweight who has only seen the second round just once in his 9 Pro bouts. Larsen has devastating power that can end a fight with just one punch as 5 of his 7 wins have come by way of KO and the majority of Larsen’s fights barely see the three-minute mark of Round 1.

Larsen’s opposition is Jamelle Jones who looks to take the Unified MMA Heavyweight Championship and bring it back with him to the United States. Jones is coming off a disappointing 2022 PFL Season where he was KO’d in just 25 seconds by Renan Ferreira after making it to the 2021 PFL Heavyweight Playoffs. Jones wants to showcase his skill and is motivated to do so by getting a chance to use his movement and look for the perfect shot or use his wrestling to get the much bigger Larsen to the ground. Jones isn’t a stranger to having Heavyweight gold around his waist as he won the CFFC Heavyweight Championship back in March of 2021 with a 1st Round KO/TKO over Cody Goodale. While he may be the lighter of the two Heavyweights, Jones does have solid power as 8 of his 12 wins have come by KO/TKO.

This fight promises to bring all the action and don’t blink as it could end early.

The Co-Main Event features a very interesting Middleweight bout between KB Bhullar (11-4) as he takes on UFC, Bellator & PFL veteran Curtis Miller (18-9).

Bhullar has had a lot of success since returning to Unified MMA back in August of 2021 comprising a record of 3-1 in the promotion with that lone loss coming by way of DQ. Bhullar loves to get into an opponent’s face and showcase his striking where he has the ability to finish a fight within the distance and the durability to go the full 15 minutes. Bhullar’s last fight in Unified MMA back Unified 43 in March against Strahinja Gavrilovic is one of the best fights to take place in Canada in 2022 as it was just a back and forth rock em sock em robots style of fight that brought the fans to their feet.

Bhullar’s opponent Curtis Millender is a very experienced opponent for Bhullar as he has fought anyone and everyone in some of the best organizations around the world including the likes of Rory MacDonald, Thiago Alves & Belal Muhammad. Millender is in need of a win as he hasn’t raised his hand since January 2020 and I expect him to leave everything he has in the Unified cage and showcase his striking and look for a finish.

Bhullar vs Millender has Fight of the Night potential written all over it.

Other bouts to keep your eye on is a Catchweight Bout at 160lbs between Jett Grande (4-0-1) & Alex O’Neil (4-0). This is the classic grappler vs striker match as Grande loves to get the fight to the ground and look to wear down his opponents before going in for the kill with ground & pound. Grande returns to the Unified promotion after winning the Flogger Series Lightweight Championship in Pakistan just one month ago. Alex O’Neil gets to compete in MMA for the first time since 2019 so we will see where he has improved but he is a student under Kru Jeff Harrison at New Era Combat Sports in Ottawa so expect to see a sharp & primed O’Neil enter the cage.

Unified 46 also sees Stephen Beaumont (9-3) tangle with Mike Hill (11-6-1) in a bout with two of the most experienced fighters on the Canadian MMA scene today. Plus Unified mainstay Neal Anderson (11-5) takes on UFC alumni Brandon Jenkins (15-9).
