Bizarrely, the slender duffer was hammered with a deluge of fat-shaming comments.

She wrote to her 3.6 million followers: “Honestly the amount of men calling me ‘fat’ on this post is next level lol. I’ve had to delete so many comments which I almost never do.”

Spiranac said the comments were deeply troubling, particularly in light of how hard she works to “maintain my ideal weight all the time for year after year.”

And that’s not easy, even for someone as active as Spiranac. She cited workouts and diet as the key to her slender figure.

But she added: “It doesn’t come naturally to me.”

In the future, she said she hopes the troll brigade can dial back their vitriol and insults. For her part, Spiranac said she plans on sharing more information about her diet and fitness routines.

Hopefully, she said, it will help people who “feel a similar body pressure.”

“It can be defeating when people call out body insecurities,” Spiranac said.

“We are all more alike than different, and I’m excited to share more of my fitness and health journey to hopefully help you as well!” We are in this together.”
