Clemson football recruiting misses on Connor Lew, 2023 Georgia 3-star
Clemson football has had success in Georgia during the 2023 recruiting cycle, but could not land a commitment from three-star recruit Connor Lew after he committed to Miami on Friday.
The 6-foot-3, 280-pound Lew primarily played center last season at Kennesaw Mountain High School in Acworth, Georgia. He’s ranked No. 510 overall and no. 36 among interior offensive linemen in the 247Sports Composite.
He would have been Clemson’s third commit ranked below four or five stars and would have become the second lowest ranked prospect in the class.
His final four included Georgia and Auburn. Clemson has nine of its 18 commits from Georgia.
Lew is the fifth offensive lineman to commit to the Hurricanes, including Francis Mavigoa, ranked as the No. 1 tackle and sixth overall prospect. The Hurricanes are ninth in the team rankings, two spots behind Clemson.
The Tigers have three offensive linemen committed – guard Harris Sewell (85th and second on the interior), tackle Zechariah Owens (170th and 17th) and tackle Ian Reed (238th and 24th).
